Choosing the Erlang Ecosystem for Developing the Applications of the Future!

In recent years, Erlang and several new dialects of it, such as Elixir and Luerl, have been successfully used in several non-telecom industrial applications. This might come as a surprise to developers who have only heard of Erlang as a telecom language or have no experience with it at all. In this talk, Stavros highlights the reasons why Erlang and the BEAM (Erlang's virtual machine implementation) compose a platform that is very suitable for developing applications meeting the current and future needs for autonomy, distribution, and resilience and makes a case for why Erlang is more relevant today than in the initial telecom era of the language.
